Hi,

I don't fully understand quite what your wanting to do. Are you wanting to keep your Linux/Windows dual boot but hide the Windows entry from your boot menu or just automatically log in to linux straight away? If so which Linux distribution are you using?

When you say "Linux 6.2," do you mean RHEL 6.2?

If so, you could edit your GRUB to remark out the Windows section with a # at the beginning of each line, then remove the edits when you need to.

Editing GRUB in Red Hat:

Off the top of your head, I suspect that your colleagues are just giving you a hard time because they can.

You will have a higher likelihood of getting your question answered if you take the time to use proper spelling, capitalization, grammar and punctuation.
