How to install Flash on Redhat 9

Hello,

I have successfully installed redhat 9 on VMWare. Now I want to install flash on it. While installing flash, a message is displayed that says "The glibc >= 2.4 package could not be found on the system. Installation cannot continue until it is installed." I am unable to install this package. However I have found some help to install this. Here it is : http://cross-lfs.org/view/1.0.0/mips...tem/glibc.html

Unable to run the commands provided in the link. Please someone let me know how to install that package and then the procedure to install flash successfully.

Thanks

Subhas.

Welcome to LQ.

Don't know if you can find a flahplayer plugin old enough
to be used in RH 9. The OS was declared dead, obsolete
5 years ago, and is insecure to use 7 years after release.
The current Desktop version is Redhat Fedora 11.
Redhat Fedora 1 was released in 2004.
You are just eleven releases behind.

The current free versions, long term supported,
of Redhat Enterprise EL5 are CentOS 5.3 , and
Scientific Linux SL 5.3.

Anyway, old flash is here
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
... The earliest versions are for Windows only.
.....

And ... you can't change Glibc. Glibc is the system.
