how to change default print font gnome?


trying to print from gedit...
looks nice on my screen - look horibbly huge on printer...

what do i do?

As far as I understand, there is no such thing as a default print font in gnome. But you can change the font in gedit; go to Edit:Preferences:Fonts & Colors and deselect where it says to use a fixed width font; then choose the font you want. And try using the print preview option.

Who said GUI's in GNU/Linux where not intuitive

that's my hole problem!! no matter what font i set for gedit, the print preview + print looks the same (big)

how about editing the fonts on the page setup option? Or just try removing your gedit configuration (a rm -fr ~/.gconf/apps/gedit-2 should do it). Do you have to print from gedit? you can always try kate or something, if you don't want openoffice.
