How to change a resize step?

Hi.

When I resize windows in GNOME by clicking Alt+F8 the resize step is too big and equals about 10 pixels. How can I reduce it? Is it possible to change the step dinamically by pressing the modification keys (Alt, Ctrl etc.)?

Debian 5.0.3;
GNOME 2.22.3;
Compiz 0.7.6.

Thanks.

I have no idea, but that's a task of the window manager, in this case compiz since you are using that. So, look in the compiz settings manager. If there's a way to set a binding for that it must be there. If I were you I'd start by looking for the one you already know (alt+f8), maybe there's a way to extend that around the same dialog.

Unfortunetly not.

The Compiz's resize window plugin is responsible for resizing windows. There's not the option to change a resize step in the preferences of the plugin.
