Angry how to access graphical console

hi!!!

i have Fedora 9 on my m/c. i tried to change my logging splash screen.

Setting -> SystemSetting -> Appearance -> Splashscreen ->

and selected "Default" instead of "Fedorawave"

then when i restart my m/c my system dosn't allowed me to logon graphical console as root user. i have access to text console with root password
even other user are able to access graphical console.tell me what can i do??

same problem occur when i tried to change my screen resolution from
800 x 600 to 1024 x 768. that time also my system doesn't allowed to login on graphical console for user( root / other); who changed resolution.

You really shouldn't be logging in as root, and certainly shouldn't be running the graphical desktop as root, so that sounds like normal behavior to me; but I have never used Fedora so I can't be 100% sure.
