How do I set right click on gnome panel icon to close application in ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Hi, all. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS classic with no effects and I would like to be able to right click an icon on the panel to close an application without a menu popping up, also use scroll to minimise or restore. I've been using tint2 in debian up until now and wonder if the same is possible in Ubuntu without installing tint2?

#---------------------------------------------
# MOUSE ACTION ON TASK
#---------------------------------------------
mouse_middle = none
mouse_right = close
mouse_scroll_up = toggle
mouse_scroll_down = iconify

I posted on the Ubuntu forums a couple of days ago but not received any replies yet. I can't find anything about this relating to Ubuntu anywhere. Thanks in advance
