Hijacking Cosmos To Create Personal Desktop Slideshow

Seasons Greetings!

Thanks to advice and instruction from MATE mavens since CreBS doesn't operate in Maya MATE, I took the "Cosmos" slideshow folder and replaced its image entries with my own and it works superbly! Bless you all and thanks! My one caveat is my images totally hijack the Cosmos folder and place in appearance preference and I can't display and run a folder copy of the original Cosmos star images as background-2.xml because appearance preference won't list and run it. The others are nonplussed and want me to do some hefty programming to fix this so I'm coming here for options. I just want to keep the original Cosmos folder ready to switch to at my pleasure while maintaining its "hijacked" clone.

Thanks for any suggestions!
