hibernate starting by itself, where to configure?
Hi
I am using software suspend 2 version 2.2.8 and have been happy with it. While upgrading my laptop from Debian Sarge (stable) to Etch (testing), I have noticed that hibernate (suspend to disk) would run by itself after about 20 minutes of idle system. So far, I could not find out where this is configured. KDE has no settings set for it and I don't know where to configure it in gnome. Is there another config file that is responsible for this behaviour? The log unfortunately does not say why suspend is triggered. thanks Markus |
Could this be a BIOS setting?
|
Did you check /etc/hibernate.conf ?
I had suspend2 installed but can't remember what would trigger this.. |
Nope, it is not the BIOS, that for sure, because THAT did not work ever, so I switched it off.
and of course I checked the /etc/hibernate.conf, obviously that is the first place on must look. No luck there, very very strange... Markus |
