grub repair

i am using RHEL 5,
When i boot pc it shows GRUB>
plz help me to repair GRUB

Run a live CD, and run grub-install to reinstall grub, and make sure your grub.conf in /boot/grub/ reflects your partitions.

If you could tell us on what partition you've installed Red Hat Linux, we could be of better help.

For example, if you've installed Linux on D: (/dev/sda5)

type at the prompt

root (hd0,4)
setup (hd0)
