Graphics on Framebuffer

i have FC8
i configured it on FrameBuffer (no X)

but i dont know how to display graphics using FB alone. I installed DirectFb(windowing)..and GTK2.0 which is independent of X and can use FB.. but i'm not able to run apps designed using GTK

X is good.

Most applications use X.

The applications that use X will fail if they don't have X.

Like - guess what - your system.

Surpise.
