Oh relax, I was just joking.
The only way I know how to do it would be to make the change in the gtkrc file of the theme that you are running. For example, I'm using Clearlooks and the gtkrc file is in /usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0
Look for a section that looks like the following example.

The values in "" are hexadecimal representations of various colors.
