gnome: run application on resume

How can I run an application on resume? Similar to the startup programs ~/.config/autostart.

If there isn't a way to do this, can I make a directory like ~/.config/resume and have it processed on resume somehow?

Take a look at this thread. Maybe there is your solution, but research first.
