Gnome panel shows every open window in taskbar on every workspace

Hi.

In my University we use openSUSE with GDM.

There, every open window is shown in the windowlist on every workspace.

I'd like to know, how to enable or disable this feature.
I was looking up the docs for this, but I couldn't find anything, hence this post.

please help

I can't give the exact details for solving your problem because I am not using GNOME, but I have a rough idea about what you need to do. You should right click on an empty section on the panel and look for an option regarding workspaces showing on all desktops. If you can't find it, right click on the "window list" applet and I am sure it'll be there.

Ok, found it!

The area where you have to right-click is about 2 pixel wide and 8 pixel high...

Hmm, no wonder it was hard to find...

I've always found this to be a nuisance when I use GNOME. I wish they could design applet handles like KDE so that they are easy to find.
