Gnome linear folder navigation?

Does anyone know how to change the folder navigation in Gnome to be more like the default folder navigation in OSX; in other words, when you click on a subfolder, instead of opening the folder in a new window, opening the folder in the same window, and having forward/back navigation buttons somewhere on the window frame? I've looked everywhere for this, with no luck.

Running Fedora 10 on an IBM T41.

Thanks!

You can set Nautilus to only open in "browser" windows - this has the effect of navigation using the same window, and you get a little set of "breadcrumb" buttons showing the path you used to get there. The option is in the "file manager" properties settings either within Nautilus or under the top menu options (on the panel) that allows you to set personal preferences.

I think this is what you are looking for...!

Yes! That's it. I figured it out independently--the File Browser application is what I was looking for. Under the "Behavior" tab of the Preferences menu there's a check box for "Always Open in Folder Windows" or some such. Checked it and we're all set. Thanks!
