Gnome displaying icons for mounted NFS volumes? (Fedora 10)

Gnome has this annoying feature of presenting an icon on the desktop for all my mounted NFS volumes, these are mounted in my home folder.

I don't want dekstop icons displayed for them.

Does anyone know how I can prevent these icons from being displayed?

Also if I use Nautilus and browse to "Computer" it shows all the volumes there as well. I prefer my NFS volumes to be completely seamless and treated as if they were simply part of my home folder and not "removable drives".

Thanks.

add the mount point to your /etc/fstab
and reboot .It will then be off desktop and out of /media ( unless that is where you mount it )

The mount points are in /etc/fstab .. they are mounted within my home folder not in /media.
