Question gnome 'applet' doesn't start on bootup

Just installed Fedora 13 on a laptop.

When I log in a warning comes up saying gnome menu applet is not working and do i want to delete it.

Obviously I don't but this is the same every time and I have no top bar on my desktop because of it. It also says the tomboy applet isn't working if thats any help.

1) any info I can give you to help fix this

2) and restart gnome commands I can use?

Thanks

What happens if you say yes and let it be deleted ?
Do you get a top bar ?
If so, you can try to add a new menu by right clicking the bar and adding the item Gnome Main Menu.
