GDM bars..
 

Ok, so now that I've finally figured out most of what linux has to offer, I've decided to do a little bit of GUI configuration.

So anyways this is the only thing I haven't been able to figure out myself so far..

I'm using GDM on Debian Etch

So I have 3 launch bars on..but the 2 that are there by default have these light blue bars under them..I have absolutely no clue how to destroy them! These bars seem like they would be SO SIMPLE to get rid of but I simply CAN'T!

I have a color scheme that I love (transparent dark blue, dark red, and dark green bars) and this is screwing it up. Please help.

Are you talking about how the login-screen looks and ask how to configure it?
Maybe you could rephrase that question and/or provide a screenshot (difficult if it is the login-screen).
Also some info on what distribution this is could help others to help you.
What are these "bars" - what are they for? Some menu-bar to select some option?

with a camera. !

I want to kill the light blue ones

Seems to me (if I get the picture right) like your xserver is not configured correctly.
The command to do this is in Debian:
dpkg-reconfigure xorg-xserver
IIRC
Back up the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf for the case it does no good job.
