Hears the story, i formatted my hardrive by misktake the only thing i have is a ubuntu 9.03 live cd that i cant install, how can i get fedora 11 to boot from my hard drive, im a novice on linux this is the first time iv ever used it
i have no installed os on my pc, i am running a live cd of ubuntu. i cant istall it to my hardrive because i get a input/output error, on the live cd i downloaed fedora.iso to my hard drive but i just cant seam to get fedora.iso to boot off my hadrive(i dont know how i tryed online but noting seams to work cause i cant load a boot drive onto it).i have a 4gb usb key, blank cds and a hardive, i cant burn any cds cause i hace to run ubuntuf the cd. It dosent have to be fedora as long as i can get an os onto my har drive. im using commands that im getting off the internet kije formatting in terminal and trying to ad a boot driver
its all change now i went into the shop and got linux mag and fedora 11 was on the thisk and it installed without a hitch, thanks a mill for you help, much apriciated, thanks for the fast replies to.
