fluxbox or xfce for kiosk

Hello,

I'm making some old computers into kiosks.

At the moment I have xfce4 and avant window navigator, however it seems I can't completely remove all xfce4 panels, which I would rather do.

So, that leaves me with the options of one of the *box wm's, however noe of these have a kiosk like mode to my knowledge.

So, it is possible to either remove all panels in xfce,

or

To completely lock down one of flux/openbox/pekwm and idesk so that no configuration changes can be made, and to have them automatically logon?

edit: I have changed the last panel to normal height and hidden it under avant which seems to do the trick...if only I could stop people from making changes to avant

Have you set the permissions on the configuration file?
Have you locked each extra user from having root access? I.e. making su and sudo permission denied.

What has that got to do with the questions I asked?
