Firefox Missing QuickSearch?

Hey, Just made the switch back to Debian after my Win Desktop install died the last time. One major obstacle that I'm having right now is getting firefox back to its last level of customization. Using version 1.5.0.3 and in my bookmarks folder there is no quick search. A google search has proven fruitless any ideas?

Have you tried to reinstall? Have you tried another search engine? -Just in case you didn't know, you can click the arrow next to the search box for google and a dropdown menu will appear that will allow you try another search site. If you do not wish to use google then you can just select another search engine.

Hope this helps...

P.S. You can always recreate the quick search by hand....

To create quick search manually
In firefox go to Bookmarks->Manage Bookmarks
This will open an interface
Click on "Create Folder" name it Quick Search"
then inside this folder create bookmarks with name and links as follows

Name : Link
Google Quicksearch : http://www.google.com/search?q=%s
Answers.com Dictionary Quicksearch : http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?gwp=13&s=%s
Stock Symbol Quicksearch : http://www.google.com/search?q=stocks:%s
Wikipedia Quicksearch : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=%s

You can also add a seperator with the same interface

Man! you rock! thank you very much. I'm slowly but surely making wayves with this thing. Its a tough hurdle to jump over, but i'm so tired of Xp its not even funny. I have to use it all day at work.
Another way I found was you could right click a search bar and select the "Add a keyword for this search" function...

Good to know.

Thanks again. Problem solved.
