Firefox 2.0.0.20 - can't open second window/dupe a tab to a new window. Used to work.

I did read the existing threads on this subject but don't specifically see anything that addresses anywhere what is going on here.

I always have/had the option enabled to do a certain click on a tab, and have it duplicated/moved to a new window.

But yesterday, I tried to do that (it always used to work) and I only got a new tab.

I've scoured my configuration options, Tab Mix Plus configuration, and am currently looking at all the *window* options in about:config but I can't see anything that looks like it applies to the situation. Of note though is that in the Tab Mix Plus options, as well as in my Edit-->Prefs menu, still show the 'New Window' options, and they're checked too, but they are greyed out.

The weird thing is that is USED to work, and I haven't AFAIK upgraded or changed anything in the browser which would have caused this.

Anyone have any clue, or experienced this?

Thanks,
Sasha

I'm going to guess that you have "single window mode" enabled in Tab Mix Plus. It won't allow you to open more than one window, not even manually.

That is _exactly_ what I wanted! How did I miss it after so many times through all the configuration pages? And when did I click it on?? Don't know!

Thank you very much,
Sasha

No sweat. Happens to all of us occasionally. It's always the little things that trip you up. Just be glad it was something simple to fix.

It sure does happen, consistently occasionally

How I missed having 2 windows, and moving tabs between them-- I didn't know how much until it didn't work!
