Hi guys,

I've been running Fedora 15 with the latest kernel for a little bit, and now all of a sudden it gets stuck on the last stages of booting, right after LSB starts sendmail or the display manager, or the last thing in the boot sequence. I've tried removing scripts in rc5.d, init.d and booting to runlevel 3, but it still gets stuck no matter what! Thanks for the help in advance!

do you use the nvidia proprietary drivers? if so you have to re-install those, otherwise, boot from a live cd and post the contents of /var/log/messages and /var/log/dmesg

Thanks for the reply! I removed the nvidia driver and enables nouveau, but it still hangs. Here's the /var/log/messages: sorry it's long, but I don't know what would be useful, it's the second half of the boot cycle. I didn't find /var/log/dmesg.
