Fedora 10 - disable autorun prompt feature (or remove it entirely)

Hi folks,
I'm still a rookie at Linux, despite the fact that I'm playing with it for some years (although it's the first time I'm using Linux as my main desktop).

In short: I run Fedora 10 with Gnome, and I would like not to be bugged by the autorun prompt screen each time I insert an USB drive.

1) can this be turned off, and where?
2) or even better, can this feature be removed, I don't find it useful?
3) or even better, going down to the roots, is there a way to make sure that all USB drives on this machine will always get automounted in 'noexec' mode?

Thanks for you patience and answers,
C

Hi,

I'm running Fedora 12 so this may be slightly different, but it should be ok.

Open your home directory using the normal file browser. Under the Edit menu, click preferences, then the Media tab. While USB drives aren't specifically mentioned, I would think they come under the heading of Media.
Try it and see...

regards

Alan

open File Manager,then choose "Preference",
select "never prompt or start programs on media insertion ",
and it ok.
