Unhappy FC6 fresh install, no desktop.

OK, so I decided to take out Windows Vista since it was going really slow and replace it with FC6.(Fedora Core 6)
It all installed good with no problems. While booting and it checks all the device things and either says [OK] or [Failed], the only thing it marks as failed is IP for eth0. OK, that was just to help you out if it has a link... (Doubt it) Well, the real deal is that after it says, "Starting first-time boot configuration." the screen just turns blue and the cursor is in the center and it does not have any animation. Remember this is right after it gets into the graphical mode and starts loading all the divices with either Failed or OK. Thanks if anyone can help!

Your grub error 15 means your grub.conf in your /boot partition is not pointing properly to your partition with your kernel information

for instance:

kernel /boot/kernel-2.6.19-r5 root=/dev/hda3

Now it depends on your distro and how your setup is configured so the string could look a fair bit diffrent then that but it tells it where to find the kernel.
