Angry Exact file size view in bytes (Dolphin, Konqueror)

Hi,

Is there any way to show exact file size (in bytes) with Dolphin or Konqueror using "detailed view"?

I can't find any setting for that, and sizes are displayed as "10.2 Mb" or "5.7 kb".

Is Linux going down to the dumbest user level so much, that there is even no checkbox to toggle the display?!

In both, if you highlight a file, right-click, and select "Properties," both the summary size and the size in bytes is displayed in the Properties dialog.

I could not find a way in either to make bytes the default when viewing the file list in a directory view.
