Eth0 failed
 

Guys,

I installed FC9 about a month ago, however, my network connection just opt to stop working after some updates ran, I tried restarting network connection but that did not work. I actually installed another card which was recognized however, it also failed to connect to the network even after getting a network address. Any help will be appreciated.

What happens when you restart /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1? It should show a mac and internal ip address.

well surprisingly when I run an ifconfig. It returns an ipaddress

Guys,

I removed the device from the network (via network manager) restated the service and "VIOLA" it started working again.
