Duel Screens on Ubuntu 10.4

Hi All

I ahve fitted an Nvidia card that has 2 connection for monitors. I have installed the drivers and adjusted the setting in the nvidia control panel but seem to be having a few issues.

I have 2 different size monitors at the moment whilst I test and both are set up to the screen size in the nvidia contro l panel. The first problem is that if I create a short cut say on the second smaller monitor, the boxes that pop up to find my selection are too bit and go off the screen so I can't complete the task.

The second issue is that Ican't seem to drag anything over drom the first desktop to the second. So say I want to watch the film on the second screen, I open up movie player on the main screen bu the application can't be moved to the second screen.

Any advise would be great, cheers all.

In order to get your configuration to save to the configuration file you need to be logged in as root or use sudo.

So open a terminal

Code:
sudo nvidia-settings
Then go to the X server Display Configuration option. Select the "Twinview" configuration, Both Monitors position needds to be Absolute, Adjust resolutions as needed, apply, save to X configuration file. Then reboot. You should be OK.

Hope this helps.
