I am trying to set up dual monitors on my computer, I have the driver working fine and everthing is mostly good but one monitor changes the size of the application windows a lot. its very annoying such as this firefox window looks normal but if i move it so it show's on both monitors the secondary monitor magnifies it a lot. I am not sure how to get that monitor to zoom out or do whatever it needs to do. I have played with DPI's and the resolutions on both monitors are maxed out at native. 1440x900 on the main and 1024x768 on the secondary. When running windows it keeps the windows the same size but i cannot figure it out for linux.
I was running seperate X screen in the nvidia x server settings with native resolutions for the monitors. it made the second monitor want to show the same as the higher so it looked really gay. so what i ended up trying is: Change options to twinview and make the larger monitor the primary (my card for some reason always puts it as secondary even in win) and then tell the second monitor its resolution is something similar to the first and bingo no window's gay with a close button 1 inch x 1 inch. Hope this is useful to someone. Have a great 2009!
