Double/single click open files

I set my mouse to single click after I first installed Ubuntu Edgy. But now I want to reset to double click but cant find the function in the mouse. Is there a command for this? I did update this version and maybe it removed the function, or something.

I'm using a Sony laptop from 2001 dual boot with touch pad. The Linux/Ubuntu device mgr identifies this as: AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint.

Why isn't there a function button in mouse properties? This should be pretty simple, but now difficult.
