Angry display problems with KDE 4.3.1

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
The first problem is that the digital clock is not showing up, even though I have enabled the digital clock widget for the "task manager"/"kicker panel".

The second problem is even though I have installed nvidia's display driver for Linux, I still cannot enable KDE's desktop effects.

My last question is how do you change the color of the "task manager"/"kicker panel"?

My system spec's:

Pentium 4
RAM: 1.5GB
opensuse 11.0
KDE 4.3.1
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS
