Disable Failsafe terminal

Hi Folks,

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04

I've created a nice locked down profile for GNOME using a combination of Pessulus and GConf-editor for an unprivledged user.

This works well, however the unprivledged user can simply change session type in GDM to "Fail Safe Terminal" and start launching other applications (Including starting firefox without extensions which disables Public Fox) ..

Is there any way to disable the failsafe terminal for a certain user?

Or even remove it completly?

Thanks

This may be distro specific, but on my Debian box it appears that the failsafe terminal option in gdm is implemented in:

/etc/gdm/Xsession

You can probably just comment out the relevant part of the script.

I poked a little further and it looks like it can be more cleanly disabled by setting an option in
/usr/share/gdm/defaults.conf

Cheers,

Evo2.

Thanks Evo!

I'll give that a shot this evening and let you know how it goes.

Cheers
