Different window managers? (for KDE & Blackbox)

I've installed Mandriva 2007 on my new laptop and i like it a lot, especially the Compiz 3d desktop, really cool to show off what Linux can do :)

But it also has a downside, it disables DRI, and i need DRI for Google Earth and games...

So I installed Blackbox, so i can go into that instead of KDE when i want to play games.

Now, my question is, how do I tell Blackbox to use another windowmanager than the compiz one?

For KDE i just do "startx", but when i do "startx blackbox" there is still no DRI...

Here are a couple of pages I found about using different window managers from within kde. I don't know if it will help you but I tried it and I can switch between kwin and icewm in kde without problems.
