Determining screen resolution to use in a script,NVIDIA
Hi,
I've got a laptop with resolution 1280x800 and an external monitor of resolution
1900x1200. The NVIDIA driver starts X in 1900x1200 when the external monitor
is present, and 1280x800 when not. How does it do this?
I would like to run different startup scripts dependent or resolution. What file
variable do I have to look at?
You could parse the output of xdpyinfo, which provides all sorts of information about the default X server, or any server you specify with the -display option.
