Dell D630 suse display problem

I have Suse 10 sp1 running on Dell 630 laptop (Core Duo Processor with True Life 1440 X 900 res). My problem is that I am not able to get the required resolution (1440 x 900) and I am getting just 1024 X 768,

Does someone seen it before ? How can I fix it ?
The display adapter work just with VESA, and not with intel.

Any ideas how to change it to the intel driver ?

What graphic chipset are you using? Try intel website for the driver and install it.

Which distro are you running?

I try the intel web site with no success,
The distro is : Suse sled 10 sp1

Hopefully something there helps to resolve your issue.
Looks like you should be using the intel X windows driver and 915resolution
