Deleted User Lost Home Folder need recoverd Ubuntu
 

A home folder that had a shared folder in it has been deleted off the system. Is it possible to recover the lost direcoty

I've looked at programs such as foremost, ubuntu-rescue-disk.

Is this a lost cause?

Stop using the system, so no data will be written to the HD.
Use a live CD with TestDisk and PhotoRec

Pretty sure it is gone. I did a grep and coudln't find anything. The user account is still on they system. When i try logging int with it I get all kinds of nautilaus(sp) errors.

What live CD would you recommend? Penguin Sleuth Kit?

Knoppix has them both.
