I installed Debian with the xfce4 DE. In the menu, there is the Debian menu, but when i click it, it shows a very small white box, and doesn't have the normal debian type menu. It worked the first time i ever used xfce4, but it doesn't work anymore. any suggestions?
Same here on Gnome (also Debian Testing). I can click the closed "applications" menu with the right mouse button and then choose to edit the menus. Then I can activate the "Debian" menu. Looks like this "Debian" menu is outdated, since it is deactivated by default.
Does editing the menu work for you on Xfce4?
it works, i just deleted it now. I think it just had missing links or just did have anything in it this time around. I totally forgot about menu editing. as for you, i would recommend going into the gnome menu editing and enabling all entries under debian menu. that worked for me when i used it in debian.
