Dbus-daemon hogging on RAM usage

Hi

I have Ubuntu 10.04 and i found out that dbus-daemon takes from 10% to 40% of my RAM usage. Is there any way to fix the issue?

If adding the line "ulimit -n 65535" to /etc/default/dbus fixes this then you're looking at bug 381063. Else see if your ~/.xsession-errors.log (if any), user.log or syslog holds any error messages and search for clues at bugs.launchpad.net.

Hi

I found out that the conky was the reason dbus-daemon took so much RAM. So, if i now add this line do i have to put it in the line PARAMS="". Thx for answer

I don't know. I'd try temporarily loading a "lighter" conkyrc with less eye candy and less apps and see if that results in less memory being used up.
