Data transfer .....
 
Hi,

I wants to transfer data from one linux machine to another machine, which has 30 gb data. it has to be copied in /home/test. user account is "test" if i create the account name test in that new machine and wants to transfer the data in that "/homt/user"account,

In that machine software are all installed already as root do i wants do any changes or only data transfer and user creation is enough...


please help me on this..

Wait, could you try to explain that in better detail? From what I understand, you can use ssh or scp to copy all of your files over.

Thanks for your replay, what i am trying to say is i have coiped the data using "scp" command to other machine in \home\user1, user account is "user1" there i have copied my data,

onces i login to user1 i can able to see those data, previously i use to login has user "test" there i use to run some applications.

Now my doubt is once i login has "user1" can i able to run those application/packages with this user...

sorry i din't get what you say , u don't undersand what i am trying to say...

i have created the user account called "user1" and copied all the datas in to it, if i login with "user1" account can i able run existing application which is installed previously that pc...

you can use ssh or scp to copy all of your files over.
