CUPS 1.3.9-11 with HPLIP 2.8.12-1 prints meaningless garbage (Debian Sid/Exp.)
Dear LQ Peoples,
I'm using an HP DeskJet F300 Series printer with CUPS 1.3.9 and HPLIP 2.8.12 (on Debian Sid/Experimental amd64). When I try to print a document (any document) from any application (even a test page from the HPLIP GUI), the pages print out with this type of output:

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

| SUMMARY |
-----------
No errors or warnings.
Done.
And since the forum software complains about a character limit, here's the CUPS error log in all its unclipped glory: http://pastebin.com/f4d6a8b62
Printing worked fine before upgrading both HPLIP and CUPS (I upgraded both at the same time, so I'm not sure which is the culprit, though I suspect CUPS), and I'd rather avoid the whole mess of downgrading all the packages and their dependents/dependencies to their previous versions, if at all possible. Any solutions are appreciated..
Thanks.
