Connecting to a VM from within another VM

Hi,

I have been using Linux for a couple of years now and it was love at first sight. So for my next computer, I do not want to have Windows and Linux running alongside, like I have now. Instead, I would like to run Windows 7 on a VM. The reason I still need Windows is work: I use a Citrix receiver to connect to a Windows 7 VM from my office and I just cannot get this to work under Linux Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Unity 2d seems a little bit better, but still things work in an awkward way. But isn't connecting to a VM (office: Win 7 VM on a some other Windows flavour host) from within another VM (home: Win 7 VM on a Linux host OS) asking for problems? Will this work reliably?

Thanks!

Regards,
Albert-Jan

In general, connecting from one VM under one hypervisor to another VM under a different hypervisor should work just as easily as any other combination of physical and virtual host connectivity.

So, no, that should not be a problem.

Now.. if there is something that depends on something very physical or not well virtualized, then sure, there might be problems... but only in those cases.
