code completion in kdevelop (C++)
Howdy,
I know, I've seen many posts concerning this topic on the internet, I've read them all, I've tried it all and I still don't have code completion working in kdevelop 3.5.5.
I've tried everything in Project->Project Options->C++ Specific->Code completion, all options are checked and I even tried shortening the reaction time for auto completion, still nothing. Maybe I get it wrong, but all I want is have auto completion display the available methods and properties for the type of the object I'm currently using, like:
string myStr;
myStr. <--- upon entering "." is when I expect auto completion to kick in and display stuff like "replace(...)", "find(...)", etc...
Am I asking for too much?
Now what? Am I too stupid to get it to work, which is always, hum... often, an option, or is it a problem on kdevelop's end, which I can't believe because such a feature is in my opinion the first thing to expect from a editor!
For now, I have to research the internet for standard classes references everytime I want to know what methods it implements, it's just a pain.
Any idea on how to get auto completion working?
