Cinelerra GTK port?

Where is it?

Whilst I was searching the web for a graphical analogue video capture tool for Linux I came across a site which had screenshots of GTK port of Cinelerra. This page wasn't in English and to further decrease the googlability they'd given the project a new name. I really want to know where this is now as the Cinelerra-cvs guys don't know anything about it and they're considering a GTK fork atm.

Thanks!

dan

I see several pages of utilities written with gtk for adding on to cinelerra. But no actuall gtk cinelerra. What exactly is wrong with just using cinelerra-cv?

The main reason people are after a GTK port is for utf-8/unicode support in the titler, which would come 'for free' with a GTK port. If your only interested in English titling then cin-cvs is fine.

Ah, utf-8/unicode.

That proved to be much more useful for researching, and it appears there is not currently a port. There are two reasons I say this. Reason one is discussions made 2 years ago by cinelerra developers that state unicode support would require massive amounts of recoding due to the way cinelerra renders its fonts.

The second reason is that there were plenty of other discussions of people wanting to know how to do things with cinelerra and get utf-8/unicode and the basic answer was use something else.
