cannot see tabs in the bottom tool bar in suse 10

hello friends,
I am new to linux, and have just installed Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop 10, now i have a problem that in the bottom tool bar i am getting all the setting, but the windows which i open, do not show up in the bottom bar, because of which i have to use "Alt+ Tab" to open the window, can any one suggest the setting to be made so that the opened windows are displayed in the bottom tool bar.

You don't sat what your desktop is (KDE?) or which version (3? 4?)
For KDE 3 R-click the "bottom bar" then choose "Add Applet" -> "Taskbar"
