cannot adjust screen properties

i want to adjust screen properties (like brightness or contrast)
through Yast i go to Hardware>GraphicsCardAndMonitor which starts Sax2
In Options i get a long list where im supposed to give values..
Unfortunately i dont know what these values stand for and i cant find the simple things i want to change in that list.
Does anyone know how this thing works???

Thanx

You can adjust the gama in the KDE settings. You can also save your changes to xorg.conf. For more than that, your card vender may have a program to change settings or use color profiles. ( such as nvidia-settings ).
