Can not add buttons to bottom panel

My bottom panel is missing buttons like windows and workspace switcher. I tried to add these buttons manually but they do not show up after adding them. I am using fedora 7 and gnome 2.18.3

Try adding them to another panel and dragging them to that panel. That can sometimes help.

Thanks for the reply Matir. I deleted that specific panel and added a new one and it is still not working.

I cannot upgrade because of some restrictions I am having since I am using some internal software which is Kernel dependent and needs more time to upgrade before I upgrade to a new Fedora or Kernel.
