Can't seem to get a Lubuntu desktop from vnc4server or tightnvcserver

I've been through about 3 dozen searches on this and am getting nowhere. Could really use some help. I have no idea what to include here, so I'll start with the xstartup

Code:
#!/bin/sh

xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
xsetroot -solid grey
#x-terminal-emulator -geometry 80x24+10+10 -ls -title "$VNCDESKTOP Desktop" &
#x-window-manager &
# Fix to make GNOME work
export XKL_XMODMAP_DISABLE=1
#/etc/X11/Xsession

lxterminal &
/usr/bin/lxsession -s LXDE &

No thoughts? I would have thought this was well covered territory...
