Bookmarks toolbar folder removal

I'm using the Mozilla IceWeasel browser.
When I open the bookmarks, there is a folder called Bookmarks toolbar folder. I want to eliminate this. Where would I find this in the file system?

in the subdirectories somewhere in ~/.mozilla/firefox

one thing though, you edit that bookmarks.html file by hand and remove "Bookmarks toolbar folder" there is a good chance you can break the whole Bookmarks.html file, there are some backups in the same directory though...

I found this...

file:///home/daryl/.mozilla/firefox/rt2kufpq.default/bookmarkbackups/bookmarks-2007-12-25.html

which I assume is what you meant. However, this is not editable. Then I right clicked on the page and chose 'view page source' and I see that if I can edit this I can get rid of the offending text.
Good idea?
So how do I edit a pages source code?

file:///home/daryl/.mozilla/firefox/rt2kufpq.default/bookmarks.html

this is the one your browser reads, if you screw it up, firefox will replace it with the latest backup...

Okie.
I think we have a misunderstanding.
I know how to remove the bookmarks from the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder so that they do not show up on my Bookmarks Toolbar when I click on bookmarks at the top of my browser. I even Know how to get rid of the Bookmarks Toolbar (View>toolbars>Bookmarks Toolbar
What I want is to not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" catagory when I open my bookmarks. This would require editing the file that IceWeasel or Linux or somebody reads, that tells it to prints the words "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" in my bookmarks list when I click on bookmarks at the top of my browser.
The page you point me to would work except that it can not be edited with a text editor. I assume I need a source editor. Correct? If so, give me a name.
Thanks...

i tried to remove it myself by editing the bookmarks.html file and had no luck with it, the best i could do is rename it, i guess you are stuck with it, the best advice i can give you is rename it to something you prefer and use it to put links you want in it...
