.blend file weirdness in KDE

Hi all,

I'm trying to get .blend files to open up in Blender with KDE. Sound easy? Let me show you where I'm at.

Opening from desktop or in Konqueror file manager - .blend files open up in Blender just fine

Opening from link in Konqueror web browser - .blend files try to open in Kate. Saving these binary files in Kate results in a corrupt file.

Opening from link in Konversation - .blend files try to open in KMPlayer.

-----

Please help if you know what the problem is.

Thank you,

spiderworm

Have you checked the MIME/Types database? Sounds like the .blend file assosiation is bad.
