Question best way to set monitor gamma

I have a display that seems to be a little darker than normal. Is there any tool or website that can help me set the Gamma so that it looks its best?

It is attached to an nVidia card, and I do have the nVidia drivers loaded. And I have discovered nvidia-settings, but I don't know how to make it look good.

Run nvidia-settings as root (su).

Nvidia-settings allows you to set it as dark or light as you want.
It really goes from fully black till white...

Just make sure you run it as root (normal users can't change anything).
*open a terminal (or konsole).
*type su (and give your root password)
*type nvidia-settings

The first entry is named "X Server Color Correction"
Change Brightness, Contrast and Gamma as you like.
