'bashrc user login

Hi

I have created a specific dir (eg, inst) in users profile, I want that when user login into their respective ids , inst folder get mounted automatically thru NFS server....

I read somewhere to add :
mount -t nfs nfsserver_ip:/path /home/username/inst

in .bashrc file of that user profile..

I m tried it but nothing happened and when I login thru user its says error:
mount can only be done by root.

Pleased Advice

Thnx

Usually only root users can mount/dismount drives. Look at the man page for the mount command ("man mount"). It talks about the options you can put in /etc/fstab to allow non root users to mount things.
